My Guide to Camping

Camping is a relaxing way to spend your free time with your family and have fun experiences. However, the adventure can be difficult depending on how well you are prepared and the conditions of the area. This guide will show you step by step on how to survive the outdoors.

Plan
First, plan your trip at home. Check the weather conditions and find the right camping site that fulfills your needs. Prepare a list of things you are going to need on your trip. I recommend the following items :

  • Tent (Size depends on family members going)
  • Tarp
  • Small Stove
  • Portable meals
  • Mess kit
  • BackPack for each member (65 liters at least)
  • Collapsible water container ( 4-5 gallons)
  • Clothes (depends on the weather)
  • Compression gear
  • Lighter/Waterproof matches
  • FlashLight /Lantern
  • Sleeping bags (depending upon weather: Check temperature rating)
  • Sleeping Mats
  • Rain Gear
  • Hiking Boots with Hiking Socks
  • Extra Pair of Socks
  • Hand Warmers
  • Gloves and Hat
  • First Aid kit
  • Emergency Whistle
  • Compass
  • Bug Spray
  • Water Bottle
  • Wet Wipes
  • Mobile Phone
  • Walking Stick
  • Firestarter/Kindle
  • Plastic bags
  • Rope
  • Boxes
  • Portable Shovel
  • Detergent and Bleach
  • Sponge
  • Hand Sanitizer
  • Smores

Setup
Once at the campsite, be sure to set up your tent early. try to get there early as possible before it gets dark. Follow the directions and construct the tent in a way so that the door is facing the east. That way the sun will wake you up early in the morning.

Food
Cook the meal according the time of the day .Follow the instructions on the stove. Be sure to avoid setting things on fire . Safety first. Once you are finished with the meal, DO NOT store the food or leftovers in your tent or eat inside the tent. Wildlife will scour your campsite for morsels and you don't want them inside your tent. Place your food in a plastic bag and tie it high in a tree away from any branches. Wash your mess kit after use  with the detergent and bleach. Make sure throw the dirty water far away from the campsite

Night
When night arrives pack up your supplies and put them in box and keep them in your tent. Spread the sleeping mats on the floor of the tent and put the sleeping bag on top of it. This insulates the sleeping bag and keeps you warm in the night. Open several hand warmers and place them in your socks and in you hands. This way your whole body will stay nice and warm.

Campfire
For the campfire , pick an area far from the tent as all tents are flammable. Before you start the fire, place a bucket of water next to you in case the fire spreads. Follow the instructions on you firestarter. Collect medium size twigs and dry grass to start the fire. Then collect logs from dead dry trees. Do not attempt to cut any trees unless you have permission. Be careful not poke the fire with sticks it can start a forest fire.

Emergency
If an emergency takes place, check on the injured victim and ask him questions on where the injury is and depending upon the injury provide treatment from the first aid kit. If the injury is really serious call 911.

If you follow this simple and practical guide, you and your family can have a great time. HAPPY CAMPING!!

The Monster that killed me

In a small zoo, not far away, where the thick gray clouds envelop the land in pain and misery, where the darkness and evil have contaminated the earth. There lives a beast, a foul, dangerous beast. A psychotic, crushing, cruel, massive, life-threatening monster. This beast was captured and sent to this lonely zoo separated from civilization. It was the reason for the deaths of millions of innocent souls. It was a blood-sucking parasite on the neck of humanity. No one has dared to see the monster, no man, no woman, nobody except me.
The gates of the zoo are bent and twisted and seem to call all who are innocent. As I trudged through the worn, rusted gates, they make an ominous shriek, that makes me shiver with fear.
A cold wind blows, carrying a dark evil force, I find my courage and tiptoe silently to the monster's lair. I smell the horrid, repulsive stench of the animal’s breath. A trail of thick, scarlet blood leads to the creature and reminds me of the innocent victims that were slaughtered to prevent the savage creature from harming planet earth. I hear the eerie noise of the rain pounding heavily on the thin feeble roof of the building.
I feel sweat trickling down my forehead and hear my heart beating rapidly. I slowly approach the gates to the cell of the beast. I pull out of my pocket, a small ring of keys. I find the shiny silver one and with trembling fingers, I unlock the gate. The cell is dark and lifeless. There are cobwebs in the corners and dust clinging to the walls. The ground is cold, wet and covered with broken bones.
I suddenly spot the most horrifying creature in the universe. It has ten humongous muscular legs, each with razor-sharp claws about the size of a trash can lid. It has a massive body size of a school bus coated with thick tough armor. It has a huge tail with a large mace at the end. Its head has three long spikes shoot at the top like a bullet erupting from a pistol. On its face, it has tiny black beady eyes that stare at you, reminding you of dark tunnels. Its jaw has a large mandible which it uses to kill its prey and shred even the toughest of meat.
Luckily for me, it’s sleeping. I calmly take out my camera from my back pocket and take a quick photo. Smiling at myself I turn around and start walking back.
Then I hear a growling sound, the monster has arisen. I run away in panic but the beast gains on me. I realize that this is the end of my life, I wish I never came to this zoo, I wish that the creature never existed. It approaches me and sinks its sharp mandible into my flesh. I fall to the floor limp and breathe my last.
The beast is on the loose and I am the one to blame. So if you see large trees that have fallen on the ground or the scarlet blood if the monsters meal or hear heavy thumps in the middle of the night, it's my fault. I have released the monster that won't think twice about killing you. I have released the creature that threatens the entire world.
Speaking of me, I am not a human anymore, I am not solid. I am more of a spirit, a spirit who moves with the wind and warns mankind of the beast that will end the human race.

Despicable Me 2-Horrible!!!!

Despicable Me 1 was a great movie, it had action, humor, and a good plot. Millions loved the crazy minions and the best character, the star of the film, super villain Gru. People enjoyed it so much they had to make a sequel. So this summer they released Despicable me 2. When I first heard about it I couldn't wait to see it, but then I started hearing rumors about that it wasn't as good as the first. So I went to the big screen to see for myself. I watched it from beginning to end and I even watched the credits. So here is my opinion.

Well for starters it was ........ HORRIBLE!!!!   well not that bad but it was still pretty disgusting. The plot of the first movie was that there was a villain named Gru who to maintain being top dog must commit a devious crime-stealing the moon. he creates a plan to shrink the moon then bring it back to his lair. His plan gets messed up and his only option is the adoption of three orphans. At first he doesn't show any concern for the kids but also learns that having kids around is fun. When he finally has the moon in his grasp he lets it go to rescue the kids from another villain who wants the moon as badly as he does. In the end he makes the kids a permanent part of his life.

The sequel was completely UN-related, it was on the vomiting subject of love. A new villain is afoot and it's now up to ex-villain Gru and his new "partner" Lucy Wild. Gru falls in love with his partner and at the same time the oldest kid Margo gets a boyfriend-how crazy is that!!!! Also in the end Gru gets married! The plot was pretty good and there were some good jokes but I could clearly tell they were trying to make love the center of the movie.

Despicable Me 1 was well known for it's action, adventure, but most of all the humor. Taking away all these important elements and proceeding the despicable me movies with a lovey twist was truly despicable.
